India
Namami Gange Program
SP Lohia Foundation contributed to the renovation and development of bathing ghats and crematoria at Badrinath and Gangotri under the Namami Gange Program of the Government of India. In collaboration with the National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and the State Mission for Clean Ganga, Uttarakhand, the project included the construction of a 250-meter bathing ghat downstream of the Gangotri Temple, along with crematoria, with operation and maintenance planned for five years.
South Asia
Kochi-Muziris Biennale
Since 2022, Aarti Lohia has been the founding patron of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, the leading contemporary art event in South Asia today. The Biennale has showcased over 90 artists and 200 projects. This initiative has brought 40 new commissions across Fort Kochi and is a prominent showcase for promising new artistic talent in this region.
