SP Lohia Foundation (the “Foundation”) is establishing and funding a scholarship programme (the “Scholarship Programme”) for the children of permanent and retired employees of Indorama Corporation Pte Ltd and its direct and indirect subsidiaries (the “Indorama Corporation Group”), who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and wish to pursue higher education at a top or prestigious university anywhere in the world.
Scholarship Programme
1. The Scholarship Programme shall be known as the “INDORAMA SCHOLAR” and shall be administered by such persons as may be appointed by the Foundation, in its absolute discretion.
2. A recipient of a scholarship awarded under the Scholarship Programme (a “Scholar”) shall receive financial support of up to 50% of the expenses incurred (or expected to be incurred) in respect of:
a. Tuition fees for the academic programme for which the scholarship is awarded, subject to a maximum duration of four academic years; and
b. Reasonable living and travel expenses.
Grants shall be disbursed by the Foundation on an annual academic basis. In exceptional circumstances, the Selection Committee may approve funding exceeding 50% of the expenses incurred (or expected to be incurred) by a Scholar in a specific academic year.
3. Unless otherwise expressly stated, all scholarships awarded under the Scholarship Programme shall be bond-free.
4. Where the grant provided by the Foundation is insufficient to meet the total financial requirements of a Scholar, the Scholar may obtain loans and/or grants from other institutions. The Foundation must, however, be notified of any application for or receipt of such additional loans and/or grants.
